What is Executive Search?

Executive Search is a methodology of finding professional people and senior managers by means of direct approach. If we have an opportunity to offer we identify potential candidates and ask them if their are interested in a new position. If so, the searcher presents shortly the vacant position and offers a means of contact outside of your working environment. Mostly you will be asked for a private phone numer or an email address.

Then you will receive a detailled job description with all contact data so that you can see whith whom you are dealing and if the job-offering could be of interest for you.


What happens with my application?

Your documents will be scrutinized for sufficient conformity to the requirements of our client. In case of sufficient conformity we will pass on your application to our client, who then decides which candidates will be invited for an interview.


Is it legal to poach away people from other companies?

This question was in dispute in Germany for a long time. In it's decision from 2004 the German Supreme Court stated clearly that the direct approach by executive searchers is in accordance with German law. The Supreme Court has also formulated conditions which every serious searcher adheres to.


How do I recognice a serious Executive Searcher?

A serious Executive Searcher will never conduct a phone interview at your workplace. He also will never send you documents or e-mails into your office. Instead he will make the first contact as short as possible and offer you a contact possibility outside of your working environment.

Some headhunters contact people with faked job-offerings only to collect their CV's. Usually two or three detailed questions about the job or the employer will give you a hint if the offer is real or faked.

If the conversation goes like
YOU: "I'm lacking the necessary qualifications for the job."
HH: "No problem, send me your CV."
YOU: "I'm not allowed to do that job cause I'm lacking the necessary certificate."
HH: "No problem, send me your CV."
YOU: "I don't want to move to Munich."
HH: "Doesn't matter, send me your CV."
Then you should be careful.

Think it sounds exaggerated? Exactly that happened to one of our friends when he was contacted by a would-be headhunter.


How can I prevent my documents being transferred to the wrong place?

You can state a notice of non-negotiability. We will not pass on your information to any company which is mentioned in this note.


Why shall I change at all?

Today's world is characterized by an ever increasing pace of change. Rapid technological development, massive social changes and globalisation force us to move in an environment which is characterized by three-dimensional dynamics. Today's companies need people, who can cope with these comprehensive challenge.
